READ TOGETHER Diamond Bar 2006

Each year the Friends sponsor Read Together Diamond Bar, an event in which the entire Community is encouraged to read a particular book, and then participate in various activities intended to increase understanding and appreciation of the work selected.

This year's book is

Activities planned for this year's Read Together include:

READ THE BOOK, SEE THE MOVIE
Wednesday, October 11th
The Academy-Award winning film
"To Kill a Mockingbird" will be screened at
the Diamond Bar Library. 5:45pm. Free.

AND JUSTICE FOR ALL
Tuesday, October 24th
Three Diamond Bar residents, attorneys all, will gather
to discuss the book and the legal issues that are central
to the novel's plot.
Diamond Bar Library, 6:30 - 7:30pm. Free.

RTDB Challenge
Thursday, November 2nd
Once again teams of students from Diamond Bar's
middle and high schools will compete in a contest to determine
which school's students read the book most closely and with the
greatest understanding.
